About Me

Hi!! My name is Desiree Pierson. I have been an at home mom now for the last four years. I have three girls 12, 7, and 3. I graduated from California State University Fullerton in 2001 with my bachelors in Liberal Studies. After moving to Oregon 7 years ago, I was a restricted substitute teacher for Yamhill County since I didnt have my Oregon teaching license. I substituted k-12 for three years. After that I was taking care of my children and have been involved in volunteering. I now decided to go back to school and am in the MAT program at Willamette University.

Most of my time is spent with my girls. I am now am single parent and juggling the responsibilities of school and my children. I volunteer at the elementary school and I am a girl scout leader for a brownie troop. I have been a girl scout leader for 7 years. I also head track club at my daughter's elementary school here in Salem. In additon, I am on the PTA at my daughters school. I also enjoy going to the gym, watching movies, and going to the coast.

I am excited for this technology course because I think that it is very important to learn how to use technology tools to be used in the classroom.
